The Honolulu Country Club has been sold for an undisclosed sum, officials announced Thursday.

Coldwell Banker Realty independent agents Jordan Chow, a CCIM commercial broker, and Darrin Araki, a CCIM commercial investment agent, represented the undisclosed buyer.

According to an announcement from Coldwell Banker Realty, the Honolulu Country Club, located at 1690 Ala Puumalu St. in Salt Lake, was established as in 1977 as a private golf and country club. The 18-hole championship golf course was designed by golfer Arnold Palmer and golf architect Francis Duane.

In a conversation with Pacific Business News, Chow could not disclose more information about the sale, including the buyer, seller or price.

However, public records from the City and County of Honolulu Real Property Assessment Division show the nearly 177-acre property was owned by Honolulu Country Club LLC, and has a total property assessed value of $15,372,300.

Chow said most hospitality and golf course sales are off-market transactions that are done privately and it's "very rare" such properties come on the market.
